About

James Roland Braithwaite was a music educator and organist.

He was born in Boston, MA. He received all three of his degrees from Boston University; a bachelor of Music in 1948, a Master of Arts in 1950. After his masters, he served in the US Military for two years, and subsequently became a professor at Talledega college until returning to Boston University for his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1967. He eventually rose to become a dean at Talledega college.

Apart of the American Guild of Organists, he composed 'Let Us Break Bread Together' for organ.
