Jack Morin is a 23 year old baritone. His work focusing on increasing the scope of the classical canon through the accessibility and performance of underrepresented song has lead him to perform on four continents.
He is a scholar of African Diasporic and Korean song; he has won the George Shirley Vocal Competition, received over ten million views on Youtube for his performances of Korean art song, and works on the African Diaspora Music Project and Korean Art Song Resource databases.
Within the operatic canon, he's performed as Leporello in Don Giovanni, Jupiter in Orphée aux enfers, and John Cree in Elizabeth Cree in the past two years.
Jack is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music with a bachelor’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education. He will be pursuing a masters in voice at the Hochschüle für Musik in Saarbrücken, Germany starting in October.
