Jeremiah Evans, a native of Dallas TX, graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 1996. Jeremiah Evans has studied piano with Dr. David Karp and Dr. William Westney. He has won awards from numerous piano competitions including the Richardson Symphony Orchestra/ Lennox Young Artists’ Competition and the Baylor/ Waco Piano Competition. He has also performed and studied at summer music festivals and workshops including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, the Round Top Music Festival and at the Juilliard School of music in New York City. An accomplished composer, Jeremiah Evans has studied music composition and music theory with noted American composer Dr. Mary Jean Van Appledorn. Most recently, his songs, among others, were recorded for the Grammy-nominated album Rising (Warner Classics). The album featured Metropolitan Opera tenor Lawrence Brownlee and acclaimed pianist Kevin J. Miller. He currently resides in Oak Cliff, Texas.
